The friendly car company that killed not only the Electric Car (the EV1), but also killed the movie “Who Killed The Electric Car” has now found another way to make a killing: Guaranteeing Gas prices from increasing beyond $2.99 for 3 years, if you buy a new gas guzzler from them.

This is the ULTIMATE in TV advertising lies. It shows how stupid the average car buyer has become (hats off to the Illiteracy cartel!): They believe that the car maker is SAVING them money. what they DON’T realize is that OF COURSE they are paying for the gas prices already UPFRONT, because it’s been cleverly calculated into the purchase price. Not only do you pay for the gas price increase upfront, you’ll also pay INTEREST on the gas price increase.

And when the 3 years are up and the gas price is at 6.99/gallon, of course, the consumer will have to be lured into another great American guzzler, this time at a price guarantee of $5.99/gallon.

How stupid do consumers have to be that they fall for this madvertising? No wonder that these cars CANNOT be sold in other countries such as Germany or Japan. In fact they cannot sell these cars even in Afghanistan, where the gas prices is half than in the US.

Is this car company INCAPABLE of truth? 20 years after killing EV1 they are still promoting the myth that their new electric vehicle cannot be built because there are no batteries. The other myth: The $2500 car from India (which runs at close to 60 MPG and complies with the Euro 3 emission standard) is going to be devastating for the environment. No, I’m NOT going to buy their guzzlers and pre-pay for gas price increases, I’m going to WAIT for the $2500 car at 60MPG.
