Hello Richard,
I am not sure where you got your facts from about virtual assistants but your statement that being a virtual assistant is a simple way to make money on the web and requires less commitment is completely inaccurate. When you hire a VA through a service like Get Friday you may be right because you are hiring an employee of their company. Which will only result with having to deal with a high turn over in their company and you probably will end up having to train many VA’s to do your work. But a VA who owns their own company is a small business owner like everyone else and puts many many hours into growing their business. We are constantly spending hours marketing our business and I don’t know one of us who would say this is an easy way to make money because it is not. It takes a lot of hard work, dedication, and most of all a lot of knowledge which means you don’t spend time training us!

I challenge the comment about people still in college becoming Virtual Assistants. This is a professional field which is populated by operators who have a minimum 5 years work experience behind them. The industry has been around for many years and there are VA universities, training courses and coaches who will assist people to become Virtual Assistants. There are also over 20 Virtual Assistant networks globally. But they do need to have a certain amount of work experience and knowledge behind them - that’s not usually available till you’ve been out in the working world for some time.
