Lowest gas prices in Clearwater - cheapest gasoline downtown Clearwater at $3.71/gal 05/17/2008

Where do you find the cheapest gas prices in Clearwater and Dunedin? What do you do if you want to save on gas and live close to downtown Clearwater? There are several websites that report the lowest gasoline prices in Clearwater and surrounding, but they are often not up-to-date because they depend on reader feedback.

I happen to live close by one of the constant top performers in the cheap-gas game in Clearwater, the Dodge’s Store  in Clearwater at 1194 NE Cleveland & Drew St. (close to Missouri and Drew) I’m going to keep this website page up-to-date with the lowest price as I can see it, hopefully it will help someone save a few cents.

It’s been such a crazy game with the gas prices increasing all the time. It’s very disappointing to see the gas prices to up and up all the time and I’m using my bike more and more again, it’s also good exercise.

Just recently I saw this calculation which shows that’s it’s not gas prices going up but US$ going down:

Way back in the “good old days” of 1964, I could give three silver dollars to the service station owner and buy 8.85 gallons of gasoline at $0.339/gallon. I won’t even mention “Gas Wars”, when gasoline might go for $0.259/gal.

Today, those three silver dollars which were 90% silver would be worth $45.76. (silver was at $16.95/oz. Friday). With $45.76, I can buy 13.04 gallons of gasoline at $3.509/gallon.

Everyone should quit whining about the cost of gasoline and blame the billionnaire boys for the devaluation of the U. S. Dollar.
