The focus of this article is to explain how to design and build your first website without first learning HTML programming. HTML is the language used to create web pages. If you have not previously designed a website you might think that it is very hard to do. But have no fears.

If you have any experience with Word, then you are equipped to create an easy website. There are two ways to approach this, and neither way is particularly difficult. One choice is to use HTML coding; the other way is to utilize the WYSIWYG editor.

The acronym WYSIWYG stands for What You See Is What You Get. It allows you to see what your website will look like as you build it with less reliance on code. There are many free site builders on the internet, and you will be surprised to find that one of the simplest WYSIWYG editors is Microsoft Word. With it you can easily add text, format and edit it, etc.

When you have the page looking like you want it, save it as HTML instead of as .doc. Don’t worry that the source code doesn’t look like it would if it were done by an expert web page designer. The important thing is that it works and you did it yourself. You don’t even need a free site builder to get it done.

Now that you know how to build a basic web site, you are probably asking yourself if there is an easier way to do this. The Internet is full of free site builders. These site builders are easy to use. You can download these and make minor changes to personalize your own website.

Besides signing up for particular services that provide various features or sample a web hosting company which offers this feature in their web hosting plan. After grabbing a choice, you then need to choose a design from the many designs in which are offered. Needing then to pick a color you want, last but not least adding your content will be needed for each page. Your job will be complete as soon as you save your work.

The main advantage of using free site builders are that you get good looking designs which you can never produce using the WYSIWYG editor. On the other hand you must bear in mind the fact that similar design will be utilized by some other webmasters. So this is better suited for your personal web sites.

The task of designing a web site might scare you, but once you understand HTML it can be easy. If you have worked with Word, then you will also be able to build easy web site. You can do this in two ways. Achieving this goal is not very difficult. The first involves HTML coding and the second way is to use WYSIWYG editor. There is no need for you to depend on any free site builder for accomplishing this task. When you are done, the document can be saved as HTML and not as a word .doc file.
