The Richest Man in Babylon” is a book I ready many moons ago. Several solid “Babylonian wealth principles” are covered. You should read it if you haven’t yet. All the parables are solid but one of them struck a chord with me. On the bottom of page 56, you’ll find these words:
”Men of action are favored by the Goddess of Good Luck.”
I’m not sexist so I figure this Goddess favors women of action too. And besides it’s the Goddess of Good Luck, not the God of Good Luck but those are the exact words.
The truth is that all the losers in the word will sit on their butts and whine about how unlucky they are. If they would just get of their seat and make an effort to improve their situation, they’d discover how wrong they are.
There’s an old saying that luck is when opportunity meets preparation. And everyone is surrounded by such an abundance of opportunity, it wouldn’t be possible to take advantage of it all. Unfortunately, those that don’t prepare themselves to meet opportunity don’t recognize any of the opportunities available to them and it’s unlikely they’ll ever get “lucky.” Losers prefer to hang out together.
